For the past week, I’ve been working on a now 200+ page visual poem that I’m calling Big Wrds and |\|07 \/\/0rD$. Of course the title may change. It is a visual exploration and work of praise for words, letters, punctuation, and the other symbols we use. When they are so large, the words begin to break apart, losing their importance as the aesthetic pleasure of the basic components of language takes dominance. A number of the words are written in leetspeak (1337) or one of its variants.

Below are some excerpts from the work. These pages represent only one aspect of the text, mainly the enjoyment of discrete pages; some of the humor or meaning that arises over several pages is lost here without a sense of the continuity of the work as a whole, if it can be said to have that at this point. The discrete aspect is what I’m favoring at this point anyways, so I don’t see this as much of a problem.

Enjoy!
